IDM Engineering Chester LTD are an ISO 9001 registered company based in Ellesmere Port in the North West of England, we have 20 years experience in the wide and varied field of engineering, starting off in the nuclear industry and moving to petrochem we now have experience with most sectors of industry working with food production, rail transport, haulage, fine chemical, marine, automotive, recycling, packaging, bakeries, hotels and restaurants, water treatment, local councils, paint manufactures and more.

We have recently used our experience of prototyping and development within our own company to successfully design, develop and market our own range of products for use in the marine leisure industry, these can be seen on our Legmate website.

From our fabrication shop we can offer fabrication in tube or plate out of carbon steel, aluminium, stainless steel, and even plastic, manufactured to your drawings or simply from an instruction, our coded welders are fully trained in MIG, TIG, MMA and gas welding in aluminium, stainless steel and carbon steel.

From our machine shop we can produce precision components to your specification in brass, aluminium, stainless steel, carbon steel, wood and a wide variety of plastics.

We have experienced maintenance engineers out on the road daily, carrying out electrical and mechanical service and repair at local industries, both on planned visits and emergency call outs ensuring a rapid response and reducing customer down time.

If you are thinking of expanding your production or modifying your plant we can offer an installation service of new or second user equipment, supplied by yourselves or supplied by us from one of our associate companies Wayvik based in Ellesmere Port in the North West.

Job Title: Fabricator Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday between 8.00am and 4.30pm Duration: Permanent Details: We have the oportunity for a time served fabricator / welder to joing the highly skilled workforce within our growing business. An up to date knowledge of stainless / mild steel fabrication and TIG / MIG welding is essential. Aluminium TIG would be an advantage. The candidate is required to have experience in workshop and site based fabrication, sheet metal work and welding. They must be flexible and professional with a forward thinking attitude and good attention to detail. We offer the prospect of overtime and monthly target bonuses. Probationay period of 3 months applies.
